I started believing in magic as a young woman
And set out on a quest to find a life mate,
Who was as sensual as an enchanted willow,
With inner peace and strength like a majestic redwood,
Who when facing the fiercest winds would not bend or break.
Someone who would dance with me,
When the band stopped playing.
Hopscotch with me in the sweet spring rain.
Chase me barefoot through rich green summer meadows.
Teach me to roll down long wildflower covered hillsides.
Make me clover crowns and daisy chain ankle bracelets.
Rake up huge drifts of autumn leaves,
So we could run, jump and tumble in their warm colors.
Share a picnic by the fireside during snowy winter storms.
Someone capable of handling the tough decisions,
Keeping us ever honest and humble,
While illuminating my nights with his marvelous mystical charm.
My friends and family thought I was ever so silly,
And then I introduced them to you.
