Too far, too many miles away,
As night falls my heart makes itself known.
Friends say, You can hear their voice,”
“You can see their face on your phone.”
Yet without that human touch,
There is no spark to strike a flame.
How I long for the day,
When that airplane sets you down.
Missing you is agony.
Seconds stretch into eternity.
My arms reach out.
The distance is too far.
